Lanzarote is located at a distance of 1,000 km from the Iberian Peninsula. Its current geology was brought about by volcanic eruptions- clear water, thirsty land, oasis of palm trees. The purpose of the design is to show respect to the nature in the sense of both science and aesthetic, as an international museum of the volcanoes in the vicinity of Mountain of Fire.
The chief transportation in the park is by motorway, the only man-made elements contrasting to the pure nature. The site is at the west end of the park where the road ends at a mountain summit.
In the museum, exhibition space is organized along a linear circulation with continuous orientation to different scenery. The initial exhibition is organized around a volcanic crater, then a hall inserted into the body of the mountain whose component- lava is directly exposed in the form of a curve wall. Finally, exhibition ends at top of the mountain, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.
